Community Outreach
Western Sierra Medical Clinic is involved in our local community. Below are some recent efforts in which we have participated.
Downieville Classic Bike Races, July 9-10
WSMC had our mobile health center in the thick of the event (right by the finish line!) offering information about our services in the community for locals and visitors alike. The first photo is the outreach booth and the second is the view of the finish line from the booth.

Grass Valley 4th of July Parade, July 4
Our mobile health center was a proud entry as a float in the iconic 4th of July parade. Staff volunteered their time to come out and celebrate our Nation's independence and promote the services we offer to all, regardless of inability to pay.

Downieville Clinic Site Open House & BBQ, June 2
The clinic site in Downieville is an amazing and uniquely set up clinic offering appointments 6 days a week and on-call care as needed 24/7--where else can you find that with your local provider? We had an Open House and BBQ to invite the community to see the medical, dental and mobile facilities up close and learn more about how we're unique and what it means for their community. An educationally good time was had by all. The first photo features our own Leo Avelar as grill-master and the second shows some of the folks who attended.
